1. Information We Collect

Personal details you provide during signup (name, email, phone number).
Delivery details (addresses, instructions, location coordinates).
Order and payment details (items ordered, payment method, transaction reference).
Technical information such as IP address, device type, and browser used.
If you use signed-in DIStudy, study subjects or intentions, session durations and timestamps, completion status, goals, display preferences, notification choices, and progress history.

To process and deliver your orders.
To contact you regarding your order status or support queries.
To improve our services and prevent fraudulent activity.
To comply with legal and financial obligations.
To run DIStudy, restore active timers, calculate private progress, display study history, remember preferences, and provide optional completion notifications.

The free guest timer stores its active end time and selected display preferences locally in the user’s browser. This information is not added to a DIScampus account unless the user signs in and uses the customer version.
Signed-in DIStudy records are linked to the customer’s account so sessions can continue across DIScampus pages, refreshes, sign-outs, and later visits.
Study subjects, intentions, goals, and history are private by default and are not displayed to other customers, restaurants, or drivers.
DIStudy information is retained while reasonably needed to provide progress and history features, protect the service, resolve support requests, and meet legal obligations. Customers may ask us to delete or correct eligible DIStudy information.
Browser and push notifications are optional. Notification permissions can be changed through the browser or device settings.

Restaurants receive your order and delivery details to prepare food.
Drivers receive your delivery address and phone number to complete delivery.
Payment details are securely handled by our trusted payment provider, Payfast. We do not store card information.
DIStudy subjects, intentions, goals, and study history are not shared with restaurants or drivers for food delivery.
We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties.

Your account passwords are encrypted and cannot be viewed by anyone, including us.
Our systems use secure connections (SSL/HTTPS) to protect your data in transit.
Only authorized staff can access customer data where necessary.
Customers are responsible for keeping their login details private and must not share their account or personal information with others.
We respect your privacy and comply with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) of South Africa.
We store data securely on encrypted servers hosted in compliance with South African and international privacy standards.

You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
You may update or delete your account information at any time.
You may request that we permanently delete your account and all associated data ("right to be forgotten").
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of eligible DIStudy records linked to your account.

Our website may use cookies to remember your preferences and improve performance.
The free DIStudy timer uses browser local storage to remember its end time and display settings so it can recover after navigation or refresh.
You can disable cookies in your browser, but some features may not work properly.
